Job Description
Wine by Farr was established in 1994, and since that time has continued to strive to push the limits of viticulture and winemaking, to reach the unachievable holy grail of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. We are pursuing a new member to welcome into our small, close knit team and family operation in Bannockburn. Trust and camaraderie is what we value most in a person.
The individual must show the passion and drive that is shared by all members on the property. The operation is an end to end production process and facility, so we aspire to be vigneron's not wine makers.
The full time position is for an adjunct Winemaker, and possibly progressing further into a senior role.The prosperous applicant will co-ordinate the day to day cellar operations, yet have a availability to both work in, and perceive each vineyard site.
Only the highest level of detail will be accepted, with a whole team approach essential. We require a humble and down to earth character, willing to focus on the job at hand.
We are located one 1hr West of Melbourne, 20 mins North of Geelong and 30 mins from the beaches of Torquay.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Oenology, Viticulture, Food Science or related field.
- 5 Years of adjunct Winemaker or Cellarhand practice required.
- A strong knowledge of practical and technical aspects of the winemaking process.
- A availability to work with the team in the vineyards when required.
- availability and passion to lgain new processes and continually strive for increasement.
- Manage cellar and dry goods inventories.
- practice in record keeping.
- Strong and effective communication expertise and consciousness of personnel and surrounds.
- Current Australian forklift license and extended practice.
- Help train, supervise and support cellar operations as required.
- Responsibility for OH&S compliance and ensuring all work is carried out safely.
- A zero tolerance for phone and head phones being used during work time unless required.
- capability to work with contractors, team members and autonomously.
- Pride in appearance, workmanship, physical fitness and punctuality is a must for this physical position.
- The role involves extended hours at times, especially during the harvest period.
- A strong knowledge and capability to uphold quality control and winery sanitation.
- Permanent Australian residency, or equivalent unrestricted working visa is required for this position.
