Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the Driver/Storeperson position is responsible for the collection, delivery, and warehouse handling of import, export, and general cargo in a time-sensitive environment. Driving a 7-speed manual HR truck (14 pallets, curtain side) with local runs only, you will find yourself checking and verifying volumes, loading/offloading orders, whilst adhering to all significant road rules, and of course, providing high-quality of customer service.

Description
This unique chance is not your standard driver or storeperson role. Joining a welcoming, collaborative, and enjoyable work environment, you will be provided with a manageable workload that will allow for downtime and interaction with your colleagues and broader team.
As an HR Truck Driver, you will be an essential member of our team, responsible for ensuring the prompt and secure transportation of goods all over Mascot and its surrounding areas. Your primary tasks will include:
   » Ensure accurate loading and securement of goods for safe delivery and collection.
   » Perform local deliveries, pick-ups, and runs within the Sydney Metro region.
   » Timely unloading of freight deliveries and containers.
   » Conduct everyday vehicle checks and report any maintenance requirements.
   » Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of vehicles.
   » Provide courteous and professional service to customers and the public.
   » Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders in a professional manner.
   » Identify quarantine products and separate them for inspection.
   » Ensure accurate data entry of inbound quantities into WMS.
   » Perform general warehouse tasks and manual handling tasks.
   » Operate company vehicles, trucks, and forklifts in compliance with laws and regulations.
   » Report any product defects or issues promptly to managers.
   » Follow additional instructions from management to enhance warehouse performance.
Profile
To be considered for this function you will have
   » Valid HR driver's license and a clean driving record.
   » Proven practice as an HR Truck Driver.
   » Solid knowledge of road safety regulations.
   » exceptional communication and customer service expertise.
   » Physical fitness and the capability to handle manual tasks.
   » Strong attention to detail and organisational expertise.
   » A positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
   » Valid LF license (or availability to obtain).

Due to the background checks required for this function, candidates must hold full working rights, have the capability to pass a national police check and full pre-employment medical, be able to provide proof of COVID vaccination (2 doses), and be able to provide two professional references.

On offer is a permanent full-time position (minimum 38 hours a week), with working hours of 07:00-15:00 Monday to Friday, with overtime available. You will receive a pay rate of $30.36 per hour + super + discretionary and annual bonuses.
