Client Details Our client, Alstom, are an international leader in the rail industry, manufacturing a range of products from complete trains to sub-systems, maintenance services, system integration and much more. They also produce rail transportation including rail vehicles such as monorails, light rail vehicles, commuter/regional trains, high speed trains, and trams. Description Including but not limited to.... » Carry out scheduled Corrective & Preventative Maintenance activities on passenger railcars and equipment » Carry out unscheduled corrective maintenance as directed by the Service Coordinator » Drive, fuel or pilot passenger railcars within Dry Creek Depot » Implement engineering modifications » Identify material and replacement parts requirements and contact with the Inventory Controller to "pick" required inventory items from the warehouse. Complete all transaction documentation, especially the recording of retable assets. » Maintain good housekeeping (clean as you go) and report all hazards or potential hazards to the Service Coordinator » Conduct specified performance test, including audio, visual and load tests, and recording of all test results » Update computer history file to reflect any changes to the status of passenger trains » Supervision and training of apprentices and Train Support employees » Assist with emergency recovery of vehicles » Assist with in-service fault-finding and fixing » Assist with main fault finding » Responsible and accountable for the implementation of and adherence to Bombardier policies and procedures to the level applicable to this position » Responsible and accountable for ensuring that all operations and business activities involving employees, contractors, customers and the public are carried out in a safe environment Profile » Trade qualified - Electrician » Fluent in English » practice in a fast-paced maintenance environment. » Must be a team player » practice in a fast-paced maintenance environment » Must be able to pass a rail industry workplace medical to Cat 2 standard - incl Mental Health evaluation, this is an continuing requirement of all Alstom employees » Employees will not be impaired from the use of Drugs or Alcohol; employees are to abide by the Operator's and Alstom's Drug and Alcohol Policies and attend testing if required » SA driving license » Complete tasks first time, every time to a safe and reliable standard » Must be a forward thinker, able to work with minimal supervision Job Offer If you feel the above suits you and you can forfill all the requirements of the role including being based in South Australia please click 'Apply' now.
