Description As a Level 3 train Driver, your responsibilities will include the following: » Maintain and hold a significant State Safe Working/Track Access Permit (SARC) » Drive shunting locomotives, with or without locomotive remote control » Undergo On and Off job tuition and training in locomotive and train management, including route expertise » Locomotive and vehicle provisioning, including everyday locomotive checks » Clerical - Complete any significant paperwork required. » Operating locomotives, including line haul, train inspections, air test, shunting and marshalling in all locations with or without distributive power, remote control and inclusive of driver-only operation » Examining and certifying trains as ready for departure » boostoperational performance The position offered is permanent full-time, 40 hours per week. Rosters are serviced 24/7. Accommodation will be provided for overnight transit. Profile About you: » Certificate IV in Train Driving » Possess a minimum of 18 months of practice driving » Safety focus - capability to determine risk and act and respond safely » Team player - you enjoy interacting and collaborating with others » Flexible - able to work on a rostered basis, full-time hours - 40 hours per week To be considered for this function, you will need to undergo a CAT 1 Rail Medical, including a D&A test and provide certification of practice with your application.
