With over 50 years in business, Granite Hills has been a trail blazer of cool climate viticulture and winemaking in what is arguably Australia?s coolest wine region, the Macedon Ranges. An chance now exists for an enthusiastic and hardworking individual to join our small team. This position will involve making wines made from our longstanding varietals such as Riesling, Chardonnay, Shiraz and Cabernets, along with our newer plantings of Gruner Veltliner, Pinot Blanc and Gamay Noir. This is a diverse and hands on role where you will be involved in all aspects of winemaking operations. Job Requirements It is essential that you have winemaking practice and preferably with winemaking qualifications. Given we are a small team; you must be physically fit for the cellar and willing to do a variety of jobs. These will include but not limited to: ? Vintage management of grape intake and processing; ? General cellar expertise, barrel management and bottling; ? Wine analysis, monitoring and winery records documentation; ? Wine assessment expertise; ? Warehouse logistics and stock control; ? Wine deliveries locally when required; ? Some cellar door work during the week. We offer flexibility in working hours. this function is offered on a full time basis. It is essential you possess a valid driver?s licence and you own transport as well as a forklift licence, RSA and food handling certificates (or be willing to obtain).
