This position focuses on quality through providing information and analysis, in addition to being a hands-on operational part of the team. The main responsibilities will be: ? Supervise all pruning, shoot thinning and vine training groups, ensuring and monitoring job quality and keeping records of block progress; ? Pest and disease monitoring, identifying early-stage disease, problematic pests and reporting on findings; ? Collecting and analysing vineyard data including soil moisture status to inform vineyard management decision making; ? Collection of soil samples and vine tissue for analysis and interpreting the data; ? Carry out bud dissection and report findings; and ? Sampling of grapes for maturity analysis and yield estimates in collaboration with the Vineyard Manager. Job Requirements You will have a viticulture degree, practical expertise of viticulture and practice in detection of pest and disease in vines. You will be up to date with industry technology and innovations and have hands on practice working in vineyards. You can demonstrate a high level of written and verbal communication expertise with the capability to manage and interpret data. candidates must be qualified to work in Australia on application.
