Our client is seeking an practiced and highly motivated Employment Mentor in Phillip, ACT to provide customised employment assistance to the local community, by assisting and enabling them to obtain sustainable employment.
Client Details
Our client is one of Australia's largest Transition to Work providers and is seeking an practiced Employment Mentor to join their team working closely with the First Nations people based in Phillip, ACT .
You will join a leader in the industry who assists people and their communities by providing early pathways to employment and helping individuals adjust to changing employment conditions.
You will be supported by a expertiseable team and with the tools to ensure your success in the position.
Description
If you are someone who enjoys making a difference in young people's lives, has the capability to multi-task, is an effective and confident communicator with a proactive approach, and someone who can go out to the market and connect with new potential business, then this is the position for you.
Key Responsibilities:
   » Assisting participants in obtaining sustainable employment and reverse marketing participants to employers.
   » Building rapport and supporting participants to increase their capacity to obtain sustainable employment through training and other support services.
   » Conducting post-placement follow-up with participants placed into employment.
   » Assisting with the resolution of complaints as required.
   » Managing participant's files and record keeping.
   » Identifying potential positions and appropriate workplaces for our participants.
   » Helping to ensure the smooth operation of the office.
Profile
To be considered for this position We are seeking for the following;
   » Proven practice working in a customer-focused position is essential
   » practice with working in the community and local engagement
   » practice working in Recruitment or Sales is advantageous
   » Solid IT expertise, fantastic attention to data, and administration expertise are necessary
   » exceptional communication and the capability to build rapport and stay resilient during challenging conversations are key
   » Previous practice in employment services is highly desirable but not essential - if you have the right attitude, we can teach everything else!
