We are pursuing an enthusiastic and skilled adjunct Winemaker to join our dynamic team. This position offers a unique chance to contribute to our winemaking processes and uphold our tradition of excellence. Position Summary: As an adjunct Winemaker, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the winemaking team in the production of our exceptional wines. This position requires a candidate with a background in oenology and sommelier certification (WSET Level 3) who possesses a strong expertise of wine science and an unwavering passion for winemaking. Key Responsibilities: Wine Production: Assist in all aspects of the winemaking process, including grape selection, crushing, fermentation, aging, and blending. Cellar Management: supervise and participate in cellar work, such as racking, bottling, and sanitation, to maintain a clean and organized winemaking facility. Quality Control: Collaborate with the Head Winemaker to monitor and maintain high-quality standards all over the winemaking process. Tasting and Analysis: Conduct regular wine tastings and laboratory analysis to assess wine quality and ensure it meets our established criteria. Vineyard Relations: Work closely with the viticulture team to ensure grape quality, including participating in vineyard inspections and grape picking. Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels, including supplies and wine components, to support winemaking operations. Sommelier Services: Contribute to the development of tasting notes, assist in wine education events, and provide support to the tasting room when necessary. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all winemaking activities comply with significant regulations and reporting requirements. Staff Training: Assist in training and mentoring winemaking staff to ensure that best practices are followed. Winery Events: Participate in winery events, including wine release parties and public tastings, to engage with customers and boostthe brand. Job Requirements Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Oenology, Viticulture, or a related field. WSET Level 3 certification or equivalent sommelier qualification. Demonstrated qualifications or interest in environmental sustaincapability. Previous winemaking practice is preferred but not required. Strong expertise of wine science and oenological techniques. exceptional sensory evaluation expertise. Proficiency in laboratory analysis and winemaking software. capability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment. Strong communication and interpersonal expertise.
