We offer contract services such as grape processing, winemaking and storage to a diverse range of clients, as well as creating our very own award-winning Jack Estate wines. At Coonawarra Jack Winery, you will practice the full spectrum of winemaking, from small batch premium processing to large-scale bulk operations. Our grape processing varies in region, variety, winemaking style, and client requirements, offering a dynamic and enriching environment. We are excited to offer an chance for a Winemaker to join our team. In this function, you will contribute to our exciting portfolio of wines and support our contract winemaking clients. We are seeking for a passionate and driven individual who thrives in a collaborative environment. A strong work ethic and precise attention to detail are essential for success in this function. Job Requirements Role Overview: As a Winemaker, you will be pivotal in ensuring the prioritisation of cellar operations, maintaining the highest standards of wine quality all over the production process, and assisting in creating a diverse array of exceptional wines. Key Responsibilities: ? Participate in the Winemaking Team in all aspects of winemaking, from grape processing to cellar operations. ? Contribute to the development and prioritisation of cellar operations, from everyday work programs to vintage operations. ? Monitor wine quality all over the winemaking process, conducting sensory evaluations and making recommendations for adjustments as needed. ? Collaborate with the production team to develop and implement cellar protocols and procedures. ? Assist in the development of new wine products and participate in tasting panels and blending trials. ? Consult with contract winemaking clients in relation to managing their wines in conformity with contracts. Qualifications: ? Bachelor's degree in Oenology, Viticulture, Food Science, or related field. ? 3+ years of practice in a winery ? Strong technical expertise of winemaking processes ? practice with winemaking management system Vintrace advantageous ? exceptional organizational and time management expertise, with the capability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. ? Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality wines. ? Effective communication and interpersonal expertise, with the capability to work collaboratively in a team environment. ?
