We are seeking to fill a full time Winemaker position at our Yenda Winery. The ideal addition to our winemaking team will be a passionate and driven individual with three to five years of large winery practice. Responsibilities will include; - Assist in planning of vintage intake - Ensure wine quality is maintained at all times - Trial work to increase quality and cost reduction - Develop new wine styles in line with customers? expectations - Public Relations/Wine Tastings - Monitor safety standards and ensure cellar operations are conducted in conformity with safety requirements Job Requirements The ideal candidate will have: - Tertiary or equivalent degree in Winemaking or Oenology - Demonstrated large winery practice over three to five years specialising in large scales wineries. - A team player with effective leadership abilities and interpersonal expertise. - The capability to work independently, managing your own workload and priorities. - Show evidence of exceptional supervision, organising and planning expertise including use of computer systems. - Demonstrate good presentation and effective communication expertise. - A practical knowledge of running a large winery on a profitable basis.
