This is an exciting hands-on role with the chance to produce high-quality fruit from our Clare vineyards (55ha) along with new developments. We are also seeking Vineyard Operators for our Barossa and Clare Vineyards. These are exciting hands-on roles with the chance to produce high-quality fruit from our Barossa (45ha) Clare vineyards (55ha) along with new developments. New equipment has been purchased and more equipment will be purchased to finalise all operational requirements. Job Requirements Requirements: Vineyard manager (Clare): * At least 5 years? practice - knowledge of all vineyard operations * People looking to progress in their viticultural career are also encouraged to apply. * Passionate about the wine industry and have demonstrated practice across Barossa & Clare vineyards. * practice in all machinery operations including maintenance. * A degree in Viticulture is ideal but not a necessity. * Are dynamic with enthusiasm and capable of handling the physical requirements of managing a vineyard. * Efficient water use management. * Irrigation & trellis - monitoring and repairs. * Assisting with planning and implementing of all activities, planting, vine training, pruning, Spraying, Fertiliser application, harvesting, cover cropping. * Ensure all records & reports required for the operations are completed and maintained - spray, herbicides and fertiliser applications. * Maintenance and presentation of our Clare properties. * Implement and monitor pest and disease management. * Ensure calibration of significant equipment in conjunction with our Vineyard Manager. * Work with, lead and influence Vineyard employees to establish and maintain a continuous increasement culture to achieve key performance targets. * Willing to work on other sites when requested. * Be an Australian/NZ citizen or have permission to work in Australia long term. * Have car, forklift and truck licences. * Current ChemCert certificate. * Responsible for WHS compliance and assuring that all work activities are carried out in conformity with company procedures and policies. prosperous candidate will be responsible for all Clare vineyard operations and will work closely with our Vineyard Manager (Barossa & Clare) The prosperous candidate will be self-motivated and possess exceptional planning, logistical and technical expertise. Organising and superviseing contractors and reviewing all invoices carefully will be required. In return you will be pleased to have an autonomous work environment and long term security in a dynamic organisation. ****************************** Requirements: Vineyard Operators (Clare and Barossa): * practice in all machinery operations including maintenance. * Mechanical Pruners, Slashing, Spraying, Cultivation, Fertiliser application etc * Are dynamic with enthusiasm and capable of handling the physical requirements of working on a vineyard. * Irrigation & trellis - monitoring and repairs. * Implementing all activities, planting, vine training, pruning, Spraying, Fertiliser application, harvesting, cover cropping etc. * Assist with vineyard expansion and redevelopment. * Willing to work on other sites when requested. * Be an Australian/NZ citizen or have permission to work in Australia long term. * Have a car licence. * Current ChemCert certificate or willing to obtain one. * People looking to start their career in Viticulture are also encouraged to apply. * Above award rates paid.
