About the Vineyard: situated on the East Coast of Tasmania (near Bicheno), The Devil?s Corner Vineyard is a picturesque cool climate vineyard consisting of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc and Riesling. This 180Ha vineyard produces exceptional quality grapes destined for the highly acclaimed Devil?s Corner Wines. About the Role: Reporting to the Vineyard Manager, your main responsibilities will be to co-ordinate staff, contractors and equipment to ensure work programmes are carried out efficiently and efficiently as required by the Vineyard Manager. Additionally, you will assist the Vineyard Manager in the scheduling and management of the modern irrigation system as well as preparation of budgets and operational reports. There is an expectation that you will assume responsibilities for all vineyard activities in the absence of the Vineyard Manager. Job Requirements About the Person: The prosperous applicant will need to demonstrate their practice in staff supervision and the practical management of vineyard operations including expertise of modern viticultural techniques, have exceptional communication expertise and an capability to undertake all administrative tasks related to vineyard operations. practice in plant operations and a commitment to quality systems is also essential. Other requirements include a good level of computer expertise, a commitment to quality systems and the capability to work as part of a team.
