Job Description
Tahbilk Estate is one of Victoria?s oldest vineyards, established in 1860 and family owned for five generations. Nestled in the Nagambie Lakes Region of Victoria, the Estate comprises of some 1,214 hectares of rich river flats with a frontage of 11 kms to the Goulburn River and 8 kms of permanent wetlands, providing a unique and picturesque setting for our vineyards.

At Tahbilk, our heritage focuses on specialising in Rhone varietals such as, Marsanne, Viognier and Roussanne, along with Shiraz, Grenache and Mourvedre. We also have plantings of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Chardonnay, Riesling, Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc and Verdelho.

To continue our journey, We are seeking for a motivated and practiced Viticulturist to lead our team on an exciting voyage of environmental vineyard management whilst protecting and nurturing some of the oldest vines in Australia.

Collaborating and communicating on all levels with our managers and vineyard team, We are seeking for someone who is willing to roll up the shirt sleeves and just get stuck in.

Job Requirements
Deep knowledge of viticulture, fine wine and land management, with an appreciation of the environment and environmental impact.
A tertiary degree in viticulture desirable
At least 5-8 years? significant practice
A knowledgeable technical knowledge of viticulture and a proven track record within the industry
exceptional written and verbal communication expertise
A constructive, collaborative and effective leadership abilities style
An eye for operational effectiveness and efficiency as well as exceptional attention to detail
A strong business acumen as this function includes being part of a progressive management team driving success of the Tahbilk Group
An educated wine palate which will allow constructive input into internal wine tastings and wine quality
Preparation of yearly budgets
Record keeping, compliance and report writing
Intermediate Microsoft Office expertise
Right to work in Australia
